Working on a Chapbook or a section of a larger book? PITW participants in 2024 have the option to get focused feedback from faculty on up to 10 pages of poetry.

A mix of new and returning faculty members!

Small group workshop sessions with at least two faculty members per six participants.

New locations including: Forest Park, Castlewood State Park, and Wildlife Rescue Center.

Poetry Conversations
Attendees will work one-on-one with award-winning poets.
Inspiring Nature Walks
Find inspiration on nature hikes and hone your poetry skills immersed in Missouri woods.
Workshop Reading Event
Particpants will share their poetry in a reading events.
Who Can Apply:
Applications are open to anyone (High School - Adult). Each individual is only allowed to submit one application. If accepted into the program, all participants MUST be able to attend both days of the workshop (because participation is limited to 20 individuals, each seat is extremely valuable). Participants are required to arrange travel to workshop locations. Rideshare options may be available but are not guaranteed.
Applicants from Outside the St. Louis Region:
Applications are open to anyone living anywhere in the world. If accepted, participants will be responsible for travel and are required to attend both days of the workshop.
