James Crews.

James Crews reads "Self-Compassion" as part of Poetry in the Woods at the Ethical Society of St. Louis on Friday, October 6th, 2023.

Poet James Crews reminded everyone in attendance at the Ethical Society of St. Louis in his keynote event at Poetry in the Woods how important it is to care for ourselves—how, in spite of the “threat of more wildfires, / the possible collapse of the Gulf Stream” we must attend to our complete selves in the moment and be still in our acceptance: "in spite of the facts."
